Internship opportunities

Bice's Regional Delegation for Asia is seeking 2 interns

Since 1945, the International Catholic Child Bureau (Bice) promotes the dignity and rights of children, in the unconditional respect of them as persons, within their families, their cultures, the communities to which they belong and their religious beliefs.
Bice constitutes a network of consultation for action and research. Drawing upon children's capacities, its action for children is based on the International Convention on the Rights of the Child which it helped to draft and whose implementation it supports.
The Regional Delegation for Asia (DRAsie) coordinates projects and programmes in the field by working with local partners in Cambodia, India and Nepal to promote the dignity and rights of children, and acts as a platform of exchange and reflection between its different members. Its lines of actions are prevention and recovery from sexual abuse and exploitation, early childhood care and development and protection of children affected by armed conflict.

To strengthen its team, the DRAsie is looking for two interns for 3- 6 months starting mid-September 2008. A stipend of up to 700€ can be negotiated.
